This training is not designed to turn you into a full-blown web developer. It exists for one purpose: to teach you the basic structural mechanics of how web pages are put together—so you can use AI with confidence and build high-performance websites without getting trapped in builder overhead.

The Big Idea
You’re here to learn structure and unleash AI—not to learn Divi.
I produced this entire training page with zero knowledge of how Divi works. I had never used Divi in my life, nor watched a single video. I simply asked AI to generate code that I could paste onto this Divi page with appropriate content and imagery and walla! That’s the point of this course: Even though there may be some advantage to understanding structural basics, at the end of the day, AI does all of the heavy lifting, leaving you with a super lite, totally efficient and well designed web site.
     
Step 1

Watch the Official Divi Structure Video (About 25 Minutes)

We would like for you to get comfortable with web development, learning the basic while working in a fun environment. Divi is a great tool for that one purpose.

To be clear, Divi itself is designed to function as a complete web development platform. Many developers use it as their primary tool to design, build, style, and launch fully featured websites from start to finish. There is absolutely nothing wrong with using it that way. If you, as a student, decide that you enjoy working inside Divi and want to use it as your long-term development environment, that is perfectly fine.

However, that is not our objective in this training. We are using Divi as a structural learning tool and a rapid prototyping environment. Once you understand how pages are organized and how layout systems behave, we shift our focus toward performance, clean code, and AI-assisted production. Divi is the classroom—not the destination.

What to do right now:
  • Click the Help icon in the lower-right corner of the Divi interface.
  • Open Divi’s official tutorial video that explains Sections, Rows, and Modules.
  • Watch the full video (about 25 minutes) and focus on structure only.

Goal of Step 1: You can confidently recognize where you are working—Section vs Row vs Module—and you can place content in the correct level without confusion.

Step 2

Prototype With Divi AI (Let AI Do the Heavy Lifting)

After you understand structure, you move to building a prototype. In this phase, you’re not here to learn layout and design “the hard way.” Divi’s AI features can generate the layout, styling, and even the direction of the design.

What you provide vs what AI provides:
  • You provide: your images (or image direction), your preferred colors, and your vibe.
  • AI provides: layout ideas, section structure, styling, and page composition.
  • What you do: talk to AI, iterate, and make it better.

This step is about learning to direct AI to produce an attractive website quickly—because that’s the real skill you’re building.

Step 3

Convert to Clean Code and Paste Into WordPress (High Performance)

Here’s where we remove the builder overhead. Whatever you created in Divi becomes your prototype—not your final build. Next, you transfer the result back into WordPress by pasting clean HTML/CSS into a widget that accepts code.

Why this matters:
  • We eliminate Divi overhead and extra baggage
  • We keep only what the browser needs to render the page
  • We gain speed, control, and cleaner SEO-ready markup
  • We can scale the site without builder lock-in

End result: a high-performance website with nothing attached to your code—no builder overload—just fast, clean output in the browser.

The Promise of This Training

You don’t have to learn Divi. You don’t have to “become a developer” before you can build. You only need enough structural understanding to guide AI—then we convert the result into clean code and ship performance-first websites.

Your First Assignment
  1. Watch the Divi intro tutorial (25 minutes - in edit mode click purple button at the bottom and then the question mark)
  2. Prototype a simple homepage using Divi AI.
  3. Screenshot your best section.
  4. Convert it to clean HTML/CSS using AI.
  5. Paste the clean code into your WordPress code-accepting widget.  We're done!
